Come drink some JAZZ history

Yardbird Crafted Ale (ABV 4.0%)
Inspired by bold American IPAs and named after the American jazz legend Charlie ‘Bird’ Parker, (Charlie "Yardbird" Parker was an amazing saxophonist who gained wide recognition for his brilliant solos and innovative improvisations. Tribute and Pie

We can't think of many better combinations or reasons why you should make sure that you join us this week!

Tribute (4.2% abv) is one of our favorite beers!

A Supreme Champion Ale of Cornwall as voted by CAMRA, and the South West's Favourite cask beer, Tribute is a popular favourite with locals and visitors to Cornwall, as well as being a much sought after brand throughout the rest of the UK. It is brewed using specially grown Cornish Gold Malt.

Roger Protz, Editor Good Beer Guide, wrote: "Tribute is a magnificent example of a bronze coloured English bitter, with a rich aroma of biscuity malt and tart citrus fruit from the Willamette hops. Juicy malt, hop resins and tangy fruit coat the tongue, while the finish is long and lingering, with a fine balance between malt, hops and fruit, finally becoming dry and bitter."

Tribute Ale named Best Drink at food Reader Awards 2013
Awarded a Silver Medal at the Taste of the West Awards 2009
Winner of the SIBA South West awards 2007
Voted Supreme Champion Cornish Ale, CAMRA Falmouth Beer Festival 2004

So come and join us on THURSDAY from 8pm for our weekly BEER NIGHT
or on FRIDAY, again from 8pm for our special PIE NIGHT:
Bring a pie or make a donation for your meal.
Always a brilliant night.

Starting as we mean to go on

To start the working year we've got a lovely ale from one of our favorite brewers:
St Austell Brewery in Cornwall:

Dartmoor Best Bitter 3.5% abv

This beer has a strong regional heritage, Dartmoor, although now brewed in Cornwall still has its roots firmly in Devon. Dartmoor is a fine, easy drinking session ale with a touch of bitterness, complemented by a smooth malty finish.

Sounds like the perfect partner to some pork scratchings and salty peanuts Gaz!

See you on Thursday and Friday from 8pm.

And remember to bring a few extra pennies as Social Club membership renewals are due:

Once again we have frozen prices to just £2 (per year!) for adults
and 50p for juniors (8 – 17). It's a tiny cost, but it really helps us to put on regular events and subsidise drink costs, so your timely renewal is really appreciated.

If you have never been a member you can pick-up an application form at the bar on a club night or CLICK HERE to download an application form.

We trust that you had a fabulous Christmas and we're planning on extending the festivities just a little longer by putting on just one more lovely seasonal ale:

With hints of roasted chestnut and fruity, festive flavours abound, HOWELL'S FROSTY BELLS is a robust and rich dark ale. This full-bodied winter warmer has an aromatic lingering finish to be especially enjoyed on dark, winter nights.

So we hope to see you on THURSDAY from 8pm for our BEER NIGHT and/or on FRIDAY from 6:30pm for our monthly FAMILY FUN NIGHT. And remember to bring a few extra pennies as Social Club membership renewals are due:
