It's International Women's Day @WrenSocial tonight

Yes it's International Women's Day - so as my wife would say:

"For heavens sake - if I've told you once I've told you a thousand times, will you get off your fat a*^e, turn off that bl@*dy football and get down to the Social Club... you have friends that haven't seen you all week and want to hear all about the fact that your arms are sore, that your silly football team won at the weekend & that you've found a new satellite channel that only seems to be on for 10 minutes from midnight!"

pauses for breath

...and another thing, it's about time that you got your wallet out of your pocket and bought a round. Plus you still need to pay your club membership (you know who you are). Go, just go will you - you're in my way here and you're giving me a headache now - so just get down to the Social Club from 8pm tonight!

See "It's what women want!"

ps. Can you still come out in the car and pick me up my darling, so I don't have to walk home. Luv u!!!

Ales tonight are:

Adnams Lighthouse

The recipe for Adnams Lighthouse is based on an award-winning beer that we used to call ‘Champion Pale Ale’. Lighthouse is a 3.4% abv beer, amber-coloured with a light fragrance, lovely malt flavours and long hoppy after-palate.

This beer is a traditional pale ale brewed with traditional ingredients. Pale Ale malted barley and Crystal malted barley are used to add a touch of caramel and toffee. The hop blend gives the beer a spicy, herbal tone that fills the palate.

Robinson's Long Kiss Goodnight

Robinson's first seasonal ale of 2012. They say Long Kiss Goodnight is inspired by 1940’s Hollywood glamour, with a sense of intrigue and mystery (Pitty Mick isn't around this week - he'd enjoy a description like that!).

This is a premium full bodied ruby red ale with burnt toffee and biscuit malt flavours. Cascade & Target hops give this beer a floral / spicy aroma. This is a premium red warming, satisfying ale - ABV 4.3%
